My name is Jack Truong and I am currently a student at the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. I am currently working on a degree in Computer Science and I am involved with the co-op program.

Though my studies are in all areas of Computer Science, I am primarily a user of web technologies. My interests are in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl, PHP) development and I have many years of experience with PHP, MySQL and Perl. I also maintain my own LAMP server with Gentoo Linux (stage3) for development purposes.

The websites I develop conform to W3C Standards, specifically XHTML 1.0 Struct and CSS 2.1. I prefer not to use Javascript on my websites because I do not need the functionality, but I have had experience with Javascript.

I was born and raised in Toronto but I currently call the city of Waterloo my home. I am a graduate of the MaCS program at William Lyon Mackenzie CI. For my co-op studies, I have worked for the Arts Computing Office and the Department of Management Sciences, both of UW.
